i want to sing!

i received this email from kbox advertising sessions at $1! how could it be right? seems too good to be true. the catch is for 3 days in aug (mon-wed), at off peak timings you get to sing for $1. peak rates are $10. for people who only have their nights and weekends free, no $1 ktv for you!
:(

haven't been to ktv for a really really long time. i suspect i'm already rusty. can singing skills become rusty? i think so... not that i'm very good. i think i'm ok? seriously, i think singing is one of my better traits? if not, then fine, i'm talentless and shameless. shamelessly talentless, talentlessly shameless haha.
even though i was from choir, i don't think our training was any good. did we even undergo training? NO. it was just, you can sing so sing this. we didn't even audition for parts. seriously!! i'm well aware that my range is limited. throw me in sop1 and i can't really handle the high notes. i'm more comfortable in sop2 tbh but pride got in the way. sop1 parts for songs like rhythm of life...can die. *wipes a tear* 还不是混过去了...

anyway, YA! only been singing to myself at home. oh gosh! and my song library is how sparse now. majorly limited repertoire. maybe because i listen to kpop and they're not the songs that you can memorise without knowing the language/making effort. let's see. the newer songs that i know of (non-kpop) are payphone and we are young? definitely not super new but better than nothing.

suddenly thought of the past when i had to write down lyrics or print them out (when we finally bought a printer... sounds so poor). i still have a handwritten note from ling - romanised lyrics of every heart and jewel song. hahaha!
effort.

so yea, i miss singing although i didn't enjoy singing on stage ALONE. was majorly freaked out and couldn't hit my high notes/hold my notes.
SO SAD :(
till now, i'm not sure what 'i felt like i was listening to a singer at the hotel lounge' means. is that good? is that bad?
