LASH EXTENSIONS
Life-changing.
Seriously.
I've never really liked falsies. Had them on once for my birthday and they were quite strange. Besides, I've never mastered the technique of putting them on. I think I've to invest in this applicator to simplify the process but have never gotten to it. AND not too sure if it's a worthy investment since I can't see myself waking up early to put on falsies in the morning. I'm the sort who would rather not put on makeup and sleep half an hour more.
Uhhh. . .
SO... it's awesome to have extensions! Although there's always a fear of one of the lashes coming loose and me looking stupid, however it's so liberating to not have to put on eye make up. In my case, I have this unhealthy obsession with eyeliner. I have to put on really heavy eyeliner! Initially I was like, is this work-appropriate to have really dark eyes?
Heck la!
I go to interviews with thick liner too haha.
Just recently, Rafe told me eyeliner is a must. He's had eyeliner on before too. Haha I think all rockstars have this love affair with eyeliner.
As I was saying, extensions totally replace the need for eyeliner! Of course I could line my lower lashline but being extremely lazy, I don't really care. Some days I sleep the extra half hour - hour and just leave the house bare-faced. Brave!
I don't know how I can live without the extensions! Okay, dramatic. I'll probably just go back to heavy liner.
I guess this is how people with plastic surgery feel. Or some other corrective surgeries...
It's like, once your appearance is enhanced, you feel so much better about yourself, more confident and think "how is it I could have gone so many years without doing this? I should have done this earlier!"
Any discomfort or pain will be TOTALLY WORTH IT.
Yes, vanity comes with a price. Just like there's no such thing as a free lunch, to look good, we need to put in effort and time. Practice, practice, practice!
-excuse this digression-
Ladies, it's not a case of whether you can squeeze into a dress. Sure, you can fit but it's not in the least bit flattering! The whole world can see your fat and where the dress is clinging to you so awkwardly! Not to mention, usually riding up and you don't notice it! Wear something that flatters you and not something that flatters the models!
-end-
When my extensions start falling off, I think I'll remove them on and get a fresh set done. I think it's kinda silly to be doing touch-ups all the time. It feels like I'm playing catch-up!!
TIMBRE
I'm so excited! Although we're most likely going to the one at Arts House, can I just say I'm VERY VERY surprised and excited to see that Alicia Pan is playing at Old School on Fridays!
I mean, I don't know if the site is updated (it should be right?) but I would like to hear her set! After her one song "This Love" like eons ago and then a duet with Evonne Hsu (maybe I should dig up my cover of this with Ling haha) and some other stuff - the latest probably being the asian version of Breaking Free...
Somebody please go with me?! Fridays at Old School!
I just like the whole idea of hanging out with friends, food, live music and drinks (in moderation).
Seriously, I really don't get it when girls drink more than they can and end up all sloshed and wasted.
What is up with that?!
It doesn't exactly reflect very well on you, does it? Like, you don't know when to stop? At your age?
Alright I'll probably get people telling me, rather arguing/being defensive, that those folks LIKE .. how should I say this? getting wasted? OK like drinking a lot (to the point of being wasted) and they should be allowed to try this to know what's their threshold.
You know that kind of crap? Self-justification crap.
Usually, I'm open to discussion but when people try to justify ridiculous acts, please kindly fuck off.
PINTEREST IS SO FUN!
