feeling conflicted

Jules is very happy because she just indulged in some innocent retail therapy.
FULLY INTENTIONAL.

I was doing some spring-cleaning today (very free right? you don't know the depression which spurred me into that...) and found some newspaper cuttings (does this sound very old school or is it just me?). Among them (okay quit being pretentious, there were only two) one was on cult products. Those highlighted were By Terry, Korres, Caudalie and Esprique Precious.
I cut that article out because I was kinda curious about the stuff featured. I KNOW, easily tempted!!!
So anyway, the first 3 can be found at Sephora (both in-store and online). Esprique is basically a sub-line by Kose which, I'm assuming, can be found wherever Kose is found.

THUS, I was doing research on Sephora.com and since the minis were quite reasonably priced i.e. less than USD20, I decided to get the Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
Which looks like this. Well, size-wise, it could really just be a little larger (haha).

The Korres Wild Rose range looked really nice. The liquid foundation, concealer etc. Oh lip butter! That one looked good enough to eat :)
But I decided I don't actually need another foundation because well, I have foundationS and loose powderS which I've never been too happy with.
Okay, correction. I need a foundation that works for me.

And so, I went with the Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation which, at USD34, is probably my most expensive makeup item (apart from the SKII stuff).
It got good reviews from Jen (frmheadtotoe.com) and since I kinda trust her as one of the most honest makeup gurus who doesn't plug products because she's paid to..., I'm giving it a try.
Supposedly, it stays put, doesn't cake, and blends easily; not to mention doesn't cause break-outs, seem pretty awesome right?
Keeping fingers crossed!
The last item was also glimpsed from Jen's blog. It's from Josie Maran - Protect Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil Infused SPF 40+. Possibly good for days where I don't put on BB cream (hence, no sunblock!) which is becoming like an every day thing.

This one is also natural (see Sephora's green stamp of approval) and I'm only just getting it because I'm curious as to what argan oil does.

Title says feeling conflicted right?
Misnomer. I'm not exactly conflicted. More like, feeling -mmm- contemplative after being voyeuristic.
There are moments when you just want to find out how someone is doing. Like I told Ling (and am not in the least bit ashamed to say publicly), 可是不是出自于关心.
For people whose chinese fail, it means I'm interested in what you're up to but not because I'm concerned.
-shrugs-
Well, today's episode was more to clarify a doubt in my mind ever since I heard the news. I'm hardly kaypoh enough to check out people's profile. Because, after some quiet (if you excuse the crying) reflection last night, I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty much self-centered and it's all about ME, ME and ME! More on that another time.

While I'm happy for you, I'm also irked.
I only have one thing to say.
Girls, please do not go on holidays with your supposed bf because if it doesn't last, you're the one who's on the losing end.
As if you need a holiday to be on the losing end.
Anyway.
I don't care if you think I'm like some auntie from another generation. To be polite, we were brought up with different morals. These things just make me so stunned. In my conversation with Ling the other day, I was like, the things people get up to these days, the hotel81 stuff etc.. just makes me want to dettol my mind! -scandalised!-

I was supposed to sleep before 10. but NOOOOOO.
