i love my superheroes and i cannot lie

Especially those of the Marvel/DC genre :)
Okay I admit my love is pretty limited considering I missed Fantastic 4, Iron Man and others that might have come and gone.

But I'm really excited over those which I know. Like Batman, Spiderman, X-men, Avengers..
Can't wait for Captain America and X-men First Class!
I'm a sucker for X-men. My favorite character is a tie between Rogue and Phoenix.
Avengers is only coming out next year! That is SUCH a long wait!!
As a teaser for what is to come in the Avengers movie, Thor introduced a short snippet in its post-credits.
Came to realise this is like a standard thing for Marvel movies.
Appeared in Xmen and Iron Man too right?
Anyway, I didn't know I had to stay but the house lights were still off and there were still people around. So I googled. OMG google is totally my BFF!! What would I do without Google?
Joke: If Google can't find it, it doesn't exist. Yup, so we stayed.

It's a VERY brief scene:
You get Erik Selvig coming to meet Nick Fury. (Erik is the Dr Erik from the Thor movie.)
Fury tells him his work has impressed many people far more intelligent than himself and then, shows him this case. Within, there's a cube which Fury describes as Power. Perhaps infinite power if we could learn to harness it.
Then the camera pans to the mirror beside Selvig and who do we see? Loki. So he didn't die after falling from Asgard. Typical of all badass villains.
Mirror Loki says that was worth the visit (or something like that) and then Selvig repeats the exact same words.
Scene ends and the audience is left guessing.

Why isn't Avengers coming out anytime soon?!!
Not that I can name them all but I did watch the cartoon. :)

At least there's Captain America coming out soon. I think the guy looks kinda hot.

Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor, is kinda cute! Initially when lotsa people tweeted/declared that Thor is so cute! I was quite skeptical.
But despite not being the typical type that I would consider hot, I think he's swoon-worthy.
Ack does that mean I have changed my type?! Perhaps I'm getting older and no longer drawn to the Zac Efron kind. Nah, kidding.

I like how Thor draws its inspiration from Norse mythology. Just like how Percy Jackson alludes to Greek mythology... and in the later books, Roman mythology. Speaking of which, when is the next movie coming out? When is the next book coming out!
I was really interested in such myths and legends as a child. I would read up on all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses because they were SO COOLLLLL!!!
I guess Norse mythology is not so mainstream to the extent that we think about it or see its influence. I can only think of Vikings.
Seriously. When I was watching the movie, names like Thor, Odin, Loki did remind me of Wagner's Ring Cycle. I think it's a series of 4 operas collectively titled The Ring of the Nibelung. Something like that. Of course in German, it'll sound so much cooler but well...
And trying to piece together what I remembered from the synopsis.. of course, there's no mention of the Valkyries here or that Odin was not as kindly a god as he was portrayed to be.
