"window"-shopping

I want this, this & this!

Slept 6 hours and feeling energetic despite it being 2 am :/
I meant 6 hours as in a nap although... naps shouldn't last that long :)

Back in the habit of trawling Gmarket, youtube, nail polish swatch blogs, facebook etc
Before Taobao, I liked Gmarket. You can find lots of stuff there and usually cheaper than retail price! I specifically look for Korean makeup/skincare products because they are way overpriced over the counter. It's unfair!
When I went to Korea, you can find the same brands dotting all major shopping streets. Along the same street, there's usually more than 1 of the same shop. Beauty is a huge priority over there which I think, is a GOOD thing. Anyway, I wasn't very well-versed in all those brands and products and felt like, "omg I don't know what to buy! Everything is packaged nicely but I only have 1 face y'know?" Basically, I didn't buy as much as I'd like...
Anyway, I think most of the ladies went more than a little crazy in the shops. Every one was toting baskets and grabbing stuff like they're free! Those serum sets which shouldn't be *that* cheap - people were stashing a few boxes for colleague A, friend, family, sister...
AND there I was, completely lost.

Anyway, I like Etude House! That's my personal favorite among the "drugstore" brands. I really think Etude, Holika, Missha, Skinfood, Face Shop etc are all in the range of drugstore. Higher-end would be Laneige, Sulwhasoo, Whoo, Iope etc. Actually, not sure if Laniege is considered mid-tier since it's priced cheaper than Sulwhasoo/Whoo.
I like Etude but I don't actually have many of their products! HAHA. Tbh I just like it because of their cfs - Dara, SHINee, Sulli, Krystal. The packaging is cute but I haven't managed justifying buying something because of its packaging! I need to read tons of reviews saying this is good or suitable for oily skin before I get something! Another reason being I think their lipsticks are freaking cute but I don't have a habit of putting on lipstick.

I WANT
SKINFOOD Nail Vita Alpha peel-off base coat (10ml)
Etude House peel-off base coat (10ml)
Innisfree peel-off base coat (10ml)
FaceShop face it peel-off base coat (10ml)

Buy these HERE

I haven't googled reviews but it does look helpful to me. I still remember my (and the manicurist's) nightmare trying to remove OPI's Mad As A Hatter. While the glitters were chock-a-block and thus, very worth the money, it was horrible to remove! Polish removers, even the OPI one, weren't effective in removing the polish. It was like trying to scrub cement off! The manicurist had to use some buffer (?) to scrape the polish off. Can you imagine how my nail felt? (Poor nail!) Ravaged and raw. Definitely NOT GOOD to do that to your nails. Tsk.

THEREFORE, if you apply polish to this peelable base, it would definitely save time removing the glitter polish! Seems like lots of brands have come up with one but I didn't know they existed! Only $5 on qoo10 now which I think is reasonable! Perhaps I should go to Face Shop to check the price out since that's the nearest to my place.
-----
I see lots of nail polishes that I WANT! Then again, I don't have the habit of putting on nail polish. I don't want to buy them and then use them just once :(
Noticed that the polishes which I have are starting to ... look weird. It seems like the polish is 'settling'. There's a layer of oil/film at the top and the rest of the polish is at the bottom. HMMM. Although they still work fine after I shake the bottle, but yea, considering I'm not half through with any of them, I shouldn't stash more polishes.
I think the OPI minis are so cute! Although the colors can be hit-and-miss, I feel the amount is good enough if you don't wear polish frequently! I would like the Oz, Skyfall and Mariah Liquid Sand sets but yea, they don't contain some of the colors that I want. Oh well, if I see them at the Scape flea market, I'll buy then. Pricing-wise, I don't think the difference is huge.

Containing:
I Theodora You
Don't Burst My Bubble
Glints of Glinda
&
What Wizardry Is This?
I like Glinda and What Wizardry. I also like the other 3 colors which are NOT included in this set.
Containing:
Get Your Number
Can't Let Go
The Impossible
&
Stay The Night
I saw swatches of these and the texture is interesting. They look really gritty and the glitters are in a different class from your usual glitter polish. With a top coat, they look more conventional. I kinda like them with the top coat. Otherwise, they look kinda dry to me. Stay The Night looks like dying embers.
Containing:
GoldenEye
The Spy Who Loved Me
The World Is Not Enough
&
Live and Let Die
Of the 3 mini collections, this one looks more promising to me. Apart from The Spy, I am interested in the rest. Bright reds aren't really my thing but overall, it's a good set.
