Have got the song stuck in my head after watching the movies. Watched part 1 4 times! But, didn't contribute to box office sales at all. Watched twice from a kind youtuber :) 

The other 2 times on dvd. 

Anyway, it wasn't any less funny the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time. What can I say? I am tickled easily just as I tear up easily. 

Practically can quote lines from the movies. 

Watched part 2 today with Ting. Cinema was packed save for first 2 rows. I bought the tickets last night and luckily managed to get last row seats (miracle!). Guess someone canceled. Oh well. Our gain. 

Part 2 was funny too. Not sure which part was funnier but part 2 doesn't have any throwbacks to the early days of NS. It's more focused on the present and what recruits go through during training. 

When Ken told his CO that he fought to protect his friends because "leave no man behind", I cried. 

Sigh. Tears come very easily for me. Easily touched. 

The motley crew of characters are all cute in their own ways. I think the funniest goes to Lobang with his out-of-the-box ideas! Do people with his character get to go to OCS in reality? Cousin was saying people who get into OCS have a certain type. Lobang doesn't exactly fit that type...but anyway it's a movie. 

Super punny/corny with I P Man and Real Bullet (Zhen Zi Dan). All the Hokkien phrases. Expletives galore but what's new? Quite sure kids these days start picking that up in primary school. Those parents who take the time to post on forums or write in to ST to complain about this and that... hey you must be super out of touch. If you think kids are not getting such influences in school, you must be living under a rock. 

Anyway, I am personally proud that I don't need to read the subtitles to understand all the dialect scenes. Like Ash once said, I got A for my Hokkien but Cambridge forgot to mark!

Suddenly reminded me of the rifle raid scene where Sergeant Ong gets a kick to the face/shoulder(?) from Lobang for daring to steal his rifle. Lobang to Ken: I kicked Sergeant Ong in the face and he told me good job! 

Reacting to Zhen Zi Dan's youtube threat. Funny scene where IP Man proceeds to bite the table  in grief.  

Lobang and Aloysius make up after Aloysius offers his own magazine to Lobang after Lobang loses his (largely through his own doing). 

After 9 weeks of BMT, POP day! 

Bro is going NS next year. Will be interesting for him. It would be good if he could enter OCS. I d'no but there's something about that "Officer" title. Is Specialist > Officer or the other way around? 

Cousin wanted so badly to be a Commando but was posted to MP. Think he even went to the extent of appealing. 

He trained really hard before enlisting. Steady. Too bad you don't always get what you want. 

Then on the other end of the spectrum, you have guys who are clerks and DAMN proud to be one. Still telling us how good it is to be a clerk and can lord over people coming in to file claims. Pffft. Even commented that there's no difference between a clerk and other postings. 

Sorry hor BUT GOT DIFFERENCE.
