Noooo it's more like I haven't seen anything that I can't live without so...
Besides, there are just waaaayyy too many steals that I can get off Taobao so, bye blogshops, you do not have my business anymore.
However, warehouse sales are a different matter cos' you get to see the thing, feel the material, sometimes even try it on. AND the best thing is, prices are much much lower! I think much closer to their original prices.
I bought some items from OVL previously. I can only remember a romper (which I did not wear, not once) and 2 chiffon tops which I have no issue with but my mum hates (cos' she thinks they're too long for me)...
Sale started at 10am but we were there at around 940ish. Queue was so long!!! And we were queuing in the sun for a while. BOOOOO*
After 2 hours of queuing, we FINALLY got to enter. 2 hours but time flies when you're talking about everything from our ex-company, our job, Yuki/Alvin, peoplewatching, shopping, Spain, etc etc etc.
I must say it wasn't really worth the 2 hours of queuing. WHY? Most of the nicer pieces were in limited quantities and sold out (duh) so by the time we actually got in, I didn't see a whole lot of choices.
BUMMER.
There was an unhealthy number of this particular skirt and top left. OVL doesn't even show their old stocks on their website now so I can't get a picture. I didn't think the skirt would flatter me so I didn't get it. The top, I almost got, before reminding myself that it isn't worth $10!
I only 3 things. 2 tops and a dress. I ALMOST got a black suede skirt. I think it's what you'd call a circle skirt so it's all kicky and doesn't hug your fats(?) but well, suede is pretty much a lint magnet. Didn't want to be having to bring a lint roller around or risk turning into a furball...
It happens.
Plus, I've always thought that SUEDE, unless it's on shoes, is pretty much a christmas material. D'no. Or is that velvet... Oh gosh!! Anyway, they are both soft and furry and hence, similar to me.
Hunter green blouse which I just picked up because I lack blouses... Hmmm. They had it in lilac but I'm a very sombre person when it comes to colors... Hmmm. |
Navy dress. Lace panels and embossed cloth! My favorite details hahaha. Anyway, I'm lucky because such dresses are usually bodycon or way too small for me. I REALLY need to exercise... *twiddle thumbs* But this was in a size M PLUS it had pocketsssss!!! AND it was still kinda roomy so... *cheers!* |
This has got to be my favorite item! The picture doesn't capture the sheer loveliness of the baby blue. This is either crochet or macrame. When I came across it, there were only size Ls left BUT I loved it so much (love at first sight) that I thought I'd take it anyway! However, I think this might have been a crop top cos' the size L is not exactly huge. It's practically the same as like a size S/M? So, perks of it being a size L = I can wear it as if it's a normal top :) |
I have not figured out how people take their full body shots using the mirror and still show their face. It's a total science and I'm not good at science... |
End with a camwhore picture which is not really camwhoring since I'm not looking at the camera. I don't like the iphone's front camera. It makes pictures all weird. |
