Anyway, I watched the movie New Year's Eve during my Spain trip. Let's just say the movies were forced on us. Audio was so loud that you couldn't ignore it. At least they were all movies which I haven't watched before i.e. NYE, Pelham 123, The Tourist, 3 Stooges, Casino Royale and Monte Carlo.
I think the reviews weren't very good for NYE but I thought the movie was alright. I cried at the end. Well, I always cry even if it's something like Ice Age.
AND this should be a resolution or something to add to the bucket list: Experience a Times Square NYE countdown at least once in my life!
The atmosphere should be really really different :)
NYE was pretty fun. The first year that I didn't have to do a year end stocktake. Last year, I was counting inventory in Ion i.e. cooking oil, fish, wine etc, while revellers were counting down. Boo.
Hooray to no more stocktakes!!!
Celebration in the office = NO NEED TO WORK!
Had to sing Country Roads an octave higher which is decidedly out of my vocal range. Our performance sounded something like "....., to the place I *mute*-*mute*, *mute* *mute*-ginia, mountain momma..."
Generally, one word - Brave.
Brunch with gossip girls group at Jones the Grocer. Intended to go to Antoinette. Even planned what to have!!! But waitress was all "it's not a long wait" before telling us "half an hour". HUH? How is that not a long wait?

Most guys were like, "but girls generally have a sweet tooth and you don't like dessert?"
I don't dislike dessert; I like things like apple crumble and tiramisu but not the cake and ice cream and chocolate barang.
Met Alicia, Gladys and Edwin for dinner. Haven't seen them in a long time. Sadly, Priscilla and Elaine ps us. Tsk!

Chashu Ramen from Nantsuttei (Millenia Walk) $16. Add Tamago for $1. Thought it was pretty good but the egg could be better. Recommended by Edwin. |
Post-dinner drinks at Marche Bar & Bistro. Couldn't get into Brotzeit again! There's always a long queue! Anyway, portions at Marche look super upsized. Even the desserts are bigger than expected. We ordered the Tiramisu and Apple Tart.

This is an apple tart. For one? Luckily we didn't order a portion each. |

CHEERS to a great year ahead! And *ahem* for us to not be single anymore. P.S as usual 50ml was not what we expected it to be. |

When we got into our cab, fireworks exploded! Could see pretty clearly from Raffles City pick up point :)
HUAT AH!
