A little competition

Observation:
We usually want what we can't have. We think that we've drawn the short straw and our neighbor has a better lot in life.
When things come to us easily, we might not fancy it so much. We leave it there to languish, we act coy and are largely indifferent. However, when we spy competition i.e others who are eyeing this thing, we immediately feel guarded. Suddenly it looks so attractive and we make more effort. Even feel jealous.

Us ladies would feel flattered, sometimes freaked out, by sudden attention. Tell me you don't feel at all smug that some guy is consciously making an effort to impress you, to please you. Don't lie!
However, if he's not your first choice, you'd peg him at a "maybe". When your girlfriends tease you, you'd flat deny it "are you insane? Neverrrrr!"
When you see him with other girls, the maybe leans more towards a yes. And to show that you're jealous, sometimes not on purpose, you do things to spite him, give silent treatment...
So conclusion is, to get a girl to fall for you, be mean to her.
That's not nice!
