Sometimes I feel ridiculously foolish. I know that people are only starting a conversation because they want something (not to say I'm not guilty of that myself) and I should be miffed! But I'm not, simply because I still like them.
That shouldn't be the way. Of course I could choose to be kind and help if it's within my means. Alternatively, I could just say "don't know" and even omit the "sorry".
Current sentiment is pushing me towards the latter.
I don't demand expensive things. It's really not the place that matters but the company. That said, it's really horrid if you brag about expensive restaurants in front of me and then say "oh let's just go somewhere cheap".
Seriously, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?
I wouldn't say it's unfair because hey, I didn't demand to go to those expensive places.
But it says a lot.
It really feels like just because someone's rich, you have to impress them by spending more. Fine. I don't need that. Even if I really need company, I won't ever go to you.
